Cobblestone on “The Dish”

Spend eight days exploring the wine and cuisine of La Rioja, Navarra and the Basque Country in Spain. Taste specialties such as roasted red peppers stuffed with crab, smoked sheep’s milk cheeses and wonderful fresh seafood. Tour the La Rioja Wine Museum in Haro and stroll through the picturesque town of Laguardia. A stop in Navarre includes a tasting in a 15th-century winery where the family has been making wines for eleven generations. The town of San Sebastian is known for its food scene, and there you’ll visit colorful food markets and wineries.

Highlights include a meal at the renowned Arzak restaurant, and a gastronomy society dinner where you’ll be serenaded by an all-male Basque choir. Visit the village of Guernica, which inspired the famous Picasso painting. You’ll also explore the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, with its futuristic architecture designed by Frank Gehry, and enjoy a cooking demonstration before your final meal.
