“The Cobblestone guides presented the history, culture, and customs with knowledge and passion.”

Dear Colleagues,

As most of you may know, after we complete our fall 2005 trips, we have decided to discontinue our Cobblestone Tours business. We have provided luxury small-group and private tours to Northern Spain for 16 years - tours that have earned rave reviews for our guides and our cultural focus.

Our excellent Spain-based destination management team would be an asset to any U.S. travel company that offers - or would like to offer - Northern Spain as a destination. Among the adjectives our clients use to describe Cobblestone guides are magnificent, knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and fun. You can read more about them at our Web site:

http://www.cobblestonetours.com/guides/index.phtml. They are trusted business associates as well as good friends; we highly recommend their services.

“Everything was excellent. Wonderful hotels and restaurants. Your people in Spain are more than “guides”.”

They are well-positioned by geography and by experience to handle all aspects of travel for your clients in the Basque Country and beyond. Our regular itineraries included all Basque provinces in Spain and France as well as Barcelona, the vineyards and villages of La Rioja and Portugal. Custom and private tour arrangements covered Northern Spain from Galicia to Catalunya and down to Madrid; special interest tours included food & wine, art & architecture, nature, family heritage, and more.

Romotur has also handled all transfers and logistics for our highly personalized tours since 1993. In recognition of their professionalism and expertise, Carmen and her staff were recently selected by the Tourist Office of Bilbao to operate their booking service.

PS - Many of you have inquired about our well-being, since you know we are headquartered in New Orleans. We’re fine, and fortunately, all arrangements for our fall tour guests were finalized before Hurricane Katrina. We’re happy to report that our last groups of clients are able to enjoy fully our wonderful guides and the true Cobblestone experience.
